The Tomcat® Rat Snap Trap sets easily in one motion with your hand or foot. This effective, patented trap includes interlocking teeth that make it virtually impossible for rats to escape. The trap also comes with a removable bait cup. Ideal for capturing the occasional rodent intruder or as part of a more extensive control program, Tomcat® Rat Snap Trap is an essential piece in controlling your rat infestation.
How to Use
- Remove bait cup from bottom of trap by twisting counter clockwise.
- Place Tomcat Attractant Gel or other food (such as peanut butter or cheese) into cup and re-insert into trap.
- Set trap by compressing the top portion to the bottom until it clicks into place. Place the opened trap perpendicular to a wall or other places where rats are known to travel.
- To dispose of the rat, pinch open the trap and drop the carcass in the trash.
Where to Use
- Place trap where rodents travel, usually a 25 - 100 ft. area between their nest and food source.
When to Apply
DETECTION TIPS
- Seeing a rat or seeing droppings is the #1 sign you have a rodent issue.
Other signs of rodent activity:
- Destruction to food or property (particularly gnaw marks)
- Erratic pet behavior
- Oily 'rub' marks on baseboards and walls
How Often to Apply
- If rat is not caught in 2-3 days, place trap in alternate location where rat activity is suspected.
